Updates regarding COVID-19
Goodlettsville Pediatrics continue to monitor the on-going outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), as it continues to change frequently as we learn more. We will continue to follow the standard infection-transmission precautions for healthcare facilities with enhancements recommended by the CDC and Tennessee Department of Health to decrease possible exposure for our patients and staff. We will be asking screening questions prior to or on arrival for all appointments and providing masks when appropriate.
Thank you so much for allowing us the privilege of taking care of your precious children. We are continuing to see positive COVID-19 cases in Middle Tennessee and this issue is weighing heavily on everyone’s minds. We, as your Pediatricians, want to update you on measures were are taking in our Office to keep everyone healthy and safe, as well as things that you can do to help us with this.
We continue to separate our check-ups (Well Visits) and our patients who need to be seen for Sick Visits. Check-ups are still very important, even now, because we do not want children to be vulnerable to diseases that vaccines can prevent. But, by separating Well and Sick Visits, it helps us to keep everyone from being exposed to all types of germs and viruses right now. Our Office is still closing at 5 PM each day, instead of staying open for our usual extended Office Hours. This allows us the time we need to properly disinfect our Office against all germs and viruses, but in particularly at this time, the Coronavirus.
We are not accepting Walk In Visits at this time. Every patient seen must call ahead for an appointment.
When you call to schedule any appointment with us, you will be asked a few more questions than you may have been asked in the past. These questions are to help us know how best to take care of each patient.
We are also asking that only one healthy adult accompany a child to the Office, especially for a Sick Visit. Please keep other children and any sick adults at home. To help control the potential spread of germs and viruses in our office, we do not have any books or toys out for our patients. You are welcome to bring these from home if you wish.
You may see our Providers and Staff wearing masks, gloves, or other equipment during your visit. This is to keep everyone healthy and keep from spreading germs and viruses to you.
Thank you for letting us take care of your children just as we would our own.
